Professor Bayliss has agreed to give a lecture on Friday March 17th. The time is 12:30 and the place, our Physiology Lecture Room. I hope you can arrange to be here.
I wish I knew why the stomach contracts when it has become empty. That, obviously, is the next matter to determine. The person who asked the question has the sort of mind that leads to investigation. The only other requirements are some ideas as to the "why" and ingenuity and persistency in ways of testing these ideas. Perhaps you have a budding investigator in your midst.
