My dear Daughter
I have nothing handy but our business sheet so I take one to write you a few lines[.]
We have been very busy since my return & I get but little time to write but make out to write about two letters home to getting one back[.] Mother I think will come down next week to attend meetings when I hope to get a full report of things at Montague[.]
Richard I think enjoys himself & is trying to do well[.] Had a visit from Miss Bailey on her way to Marrietta[.] Mr Merrill called on me a few days ago on his way west to see his sons - they are all West[.]
My Health is good Uncle W.s family are all well. Fred has left the gun business & gone into dry goods[.] Write me often[.]
