Dear Madam:-

If you find time to examine it, we think that Eddy's Text Book in General Physiology and Anatomy, just issued and sent you to-day will interest you greatly.

It attempts, we think very successfully, to present Human Physiology as a phase of Biology, not a separate, isolated subject of study, concerned only with the human mechanism. While the book lays special stress upon the explanation of Physiological processes, and while it retains the human body as the main subject of application, it teaches the universal application of these processes to all living matter. The author is a trained Biologist and an experienced high school teacher. His book is thus scholarly, exact, and accurate, clear and direct in style and method. We hope that its purpose and spirit will please you and that you will have occasion to recommend it for secondary school work, perhaps making some use of it in your own department. Will you let us know how it impresses you.

Very truly yours,
American Book Company.
