My dear Mary
I was rejoiced to hear the good news that you were among the number of those who hoped to join themselves with God's people next Sabbath.
How happy is the thought that we three sisters may now feel that we are sisters indeed, because we may all be working for the same great cause, all be interested in the same great subject, and looking to the same glorious home at last. Can it be that either of us shall fail to make the most of this short life? I often fear that I am not accomplishing anything for the Master.
Oh! Mary, in this most important and solemn event of your life, may God bless you abundantly, and ever grant you grace that you may be "steadfast, immovable always abounding in the work of the Lord" - I shall think often of you in the days to come. I would like very much to know the name of those who join next Sabbath -
Received a letter from Father tonight with a check &c - He says he is at Mr Beniens [?] - and Uncle Wellington has nut [sic] yet gone - and Wellington & Mima's [?] children have had the small pox -
I can write no more now -
Your loving sister
Cornelia[Cornelia's uncle Wellington was married to a woman named Cornelia, so I'm not sure if Mima was her nickname and only one family had smallpox, or if Mima was another family member who also had children with smallpox.]
