My dear Dr. Clapp:-

Will it be absolutely necessary for the department to have twenty-four new microscopes if the addition laboratory is provided in Williston? I dislike to ask the Trustees for so large an appropriation for one department unless it is imperative.

I am going to talk with Miss Smith about changing the Mathematics class room.
