A Letter written on May 5, 1921

My dear Miss Palmer:-

Yes, I was once the "Minnie Fiske", whose photo. you have, thus named. I was always called "Minnie" in my younger days, and my classmates call me so still, - but when I married I began using my baptismal name of Mary, and have ever since used that as my signature.

And the "Fidelia" in my name is for the missionary Fidelia, whom I always called "Aunt Fidelia," though she was my father's cousin. But they were brought up together almost like brother and sister; and it was my father who wrote her memoir.

I am hoping that you will find a ready response from all the surviving members of '71., as the article you are contemplating will be a valuable memento for us who are more interested, during the remaining days of our pilgrimage.

I think this probably covers the ground that you want.

Yours sincerely,
Mary F. Savage.
