Dear Mamma:-It seems to be on the way to clear off really, for the wind is west and we have had a fine sunset. Miss Smith goes tomorrow morning as her mother does not gain very fast and she thinks she is needed. I shall miss her very much.
I heard from Jessee tonight and she says I can "camp out" in her house, so I shall sleep there instead of at Grace Stratton's. I am glad they are having so much fun in their tents. Unless I change my mind - and I don't expect to - I shall leave Gorham sometime about noon Saturday and get down to Nashua via Plymouth at about seven o'clock. I haven't the time table here this minute. I'll call you up after I get to Jessee's, but don't be alarmed if you don't hear for it's the Saturday before Labor Day and the trains will probably be late and crowded. I get on far enough up to get a seat, however, and there is only one change, and that just near the beginning of the journey so I shall be all right It is B. & M. all the way, about the same distance as the way I came up and a new route to me in part, with views of the Franconia mountains and of Moosilauke, also it avoids a stupid wait of three or four hours at Rochester. I'll not write again. Please ask Miss Butterfield if I can have dinner with you Sunday. I'll tell you then about our trip yesterday to Crystal Cascade, and what else may happen before Saturday. I'm glad Elizabeth is going to stop to see you.
With much love -
AbbyTues. night.
