Dear Mamma:-

I have had a nice Sunday even though it rained. This morning Eleanor Mason and I went to church at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. It isn't anywheres near done yet, but it holds a lot of people, at least three thousand, I should think, and all the place was full - all the main floor, hundreds in the choir and up above the choir, and many more around through the chapels which are near the choir. And then some more hundreds stood! We were fortunate in getting a seat near the back - getting there a half hour before service began. The music was good - a boy choir with a good many men's voices. The bishop preached, a very good sermon.

Then I went to dinner with Eva and stayed until after half past five. I hope I can see her again before I leave, but amn not sure. Then I went to call on Edith Wallace, and she took me to supper. I've just gotten back, Edith looks pretty well, and expects to go to California for a year about June 1[.] The man for whom she works is going with several from the laboratory.

I expect to get home Tuesday night, but not until late in the evening, so don't sit up for me. I hope you have had a nice Easter.

With love to you -
Abby
