Dear Aunt Emma,-

I am going to send this to the address you sent at Cleveland and if you are not there they will forward it.

I rec'd your card but was in the hospital at the time and was too miserably ill all summer to even think of writing[.] The 27th of July I gave birth to a pair of twin babies, a boy and a girl, but the boy only lived a month and then went home to the Giver. We have the baby girl to comfort us and she is a little darling. She has father's fine head and full high forehead. She will be dark and has big brown eyes. Besides my baby boy there is still another added to the list on the other side. Sister Emma laid her dear husband to rest the 9th of July. I was in such ill health that I did not know of it till my babies were 3 weeks old. She is inconsolable. We all dearly loved him, he was so kind and good. They never had any children. We spent the Summer in Denver, coming back here the 1st of Oct. I am feeling much better and soon hope to be entirely well.

We have named our baby Inez Emmaline and call her Inez. I hope you are well and happy. Sister Carrie and our niece Stella are in Denver. Stella has two dear little girls. Her baby is ten weeks younger than my baby. We named her Marjorie. Are you with Abbie this winter? I have thought of you so often and wished so much that I might write you. As soon as the baby is old enough we are going to have her picture taken and I will send you one. I suppose Jessie is happy I hope so any way. I have such a dear kind husband my self I want every woman to have the same.

I must stop for it is bed time so will wish you a loving good night and pleasant dreams.

Lovingly your Niece
Lillian Kulp.
