Wednesday nightDear Mamma:-
I'm in Esther's room and will write just a bit. This morning I had a good talk with Miss Gregory, the Barnard physiologist. She was a friend of Mary Hogue's and was in South Hadley once when we were at College Inn. Miss Hogue is bacteriologist at Fort Sims out in Oklahoma.
I bought me some shoes which seem to me very fine, and some gloves - and then some down here. Esther and a Miss Goddard who used to be at Mount Holyoke met me, with Miss Goddard's car. She took me to Goucher, and then over to Hopkins, and brought my bag here - and those three places aren't near together at all. It was so nice of her. I've seen some of the girls at dinner and tomorrow go to Goucher to meet the candidate and hear about her, and then to lunch with Miss Jervis and to dinner with Dr. Welsh and Dr. Sherwood.
I talked with Eva over the phone in N.Y. this morning. Shall get back there Friday.
I hope you are getting on all right. It has been warm here so I've wished I hadn't brought my heavy coat - but I may need it later.
Much love to you - Love to Miss Safford too.
