Dear Miss Turner;

I am afraid you can't do any thing except use your data as they are. Barcroft's objection may be valid & it might be a good thing in your statements upon the method used to point out that this criticism may be offered. But if your reb results fall in line with Krogh's I feel a good deal of assurance. The more I see of him the more I become inclined to believe that he is right at least a fair number of times & that's more than can be said of most physiologists. I don't think it worth while with all your responsibilities to get involved in matters of method. You had better let others do that and stick to the using of things that seem well-liked & that come from sound sources. After all the exact accuracy of what you get isn't so important as the portraying of tendencies & certainly you can do that with the technique you now have.

I am still not quite sure whether the founding test is a real expression of circulatory fitness or whether it is simply a way of picking out a weakness of certain individuals, persons who may be all right in other ways. The relation between posture & circulatory in ability to stand might prove interesting & valuable. Do go ahead with it.

Very Sincerely
Cecil K. Drinker
