Dearest Roland:

I was so disappointed that you didn't come over last Tuesday evening. I hope nothing is wrong. Your card came Tuesday morning and I didn't have time to answer it but I thought sure you'd come anyway. I am always at home when I know you are coming.

Wednesday & Thursday I had to work until nine oclock [sic] and tonight I am going over to Evander to see a little play "The Yokohoma Maid". Saturday evening I will be at home so If you would care to come down for a little visit I would be very glad. Perhaps you have other plans for that evening so if you have not come by 8.30 I may run up to Dot's house. I hope if you come you'll come early.

Same as ever, yours
Lucy Dee.
