Dearest Roland:

I am so unhappy tonight and very sorry I was not at home this evening when you called. If I had thought you were coming I would not have gone away. Mother and I went up to see Dorothy Phillips in "The Right to Happiness" at the Concourse.

This was my night to stay late down town but business was slow so I managed to leave at quarter to five. Tomorrow evening I am going to church with my mother & Thursday & Friday I have to work. So I suppose If the plans for the football game hold good I will see you Saturday. If you send me a little note telling when and where to meet I can be excused any time you say.

I'm tired now & must say good night to my Bubkins

xx Brownie.
