Dear Bub Darling,

Just now I've awakened from a most wonderful dream to find myself once more down here in "lil-h---!" Truly, dearest I had a wonderful time. Only to be with you is all that is necessary to make me happy, darling, and then add the dance! You know I said before that all my dancing partners were good jaggers?! Well, Bub darling, you were the best of them all though - I would rather have danced with you than with anyone else, honest injun!

You know, Bub dear, I never before went to a dance where I so enjoyed meeting the men as I did on Friday night. Truly I'm not saying this just to sound well - but they all seemed to be regular men not fops, with the exception of possibly a couple. I think even tho' it was a rather cliquish affair yet it was the sort of a gathering which would do N.Y.N. noble!

I have arrived back here to find that the housekeeper & matron have had a scrap and the matron has had to leave for a week as a result - Her nerves gave out. Isn't it awful when people cannot get along with one another? Honestly, never have I seen such difficulty as here - There is too much gossip of the injurious sort here. That is what makes it.

Awaiting me when I arrived home was an invite to attend a masquerade Washington's Birthday party Tuesday evening - some of the girls are getting it up - Peppy time, you know, dear!!!!

It sure is a great life if you do not weaken but - I've weakened I fear.

Well, dearest Bub, the lights have blinked so I must quit - (This is a signal that they go out in 10 minutes.)

Do thank your mother and father for being so lovely to me while I was at 2029 - I surely did enjoy myself every minute of the time.

All my love,
Fran.
