A Letter Written on Dec 6, 1956

Thurs.

Dear Pat:

Well I hope you're not sick or anything. We would like to hear from you at least once a week, even if it's only a card. Just to let us know how you're kicking. You'll have Grandma up there pretty soon, if we don't get some word or other, so let's at least have a card.

I have been painting ceramic one night and christmas [sic] balls the next. I have a load of ceramics just glazed last night. The first load came out very nicely, the colors were bright and clear. I still haven't had the chance to work on the manger set as yet.

Tonight I go to the Sunday School class Christmas and tomorrow night to daddy's office christmas party. Our schedules are very full. Daddy cleaned out the hall closet last night. Grandmas came down and played with the cat. She sure tries to get into everything you're doing, she was helping me paint Betty's wedding gifts the other night, she'll probably have a paw mark right in the center.

Work at the office has been sort of slow for the past month.

Have you decided to spend one day in N. Y. on your way home. After your [sic] home, you can't afford to go back to N. Y., so if you want to spend a day there, you better do it on the way home. It will probably be pretty crowded that week end, so I wouldn't fool aroung [sic] too long. Of course, we'll be glad to have you come right home.

How are you doing in your lessons? Let us hera [sic] from you and take good care of yourself.

Everyone okay here.

Love,
Mother.
