ThursdayDear Pat,
I'm sorry. Your first role of Feiser reload didn't turn out so well. The first frame was fogged due to cap being loose on magazine when I received it from you. Sometimes those end caps aren't too firmly held in place. Press both end caps together when you load and unload the magazine in the camera and wrap up the magazine good and tight before mailing.
Something went wrong in my developing tank. For some reason the film would not feed out of the magazine freely so that it was bound too tightly on the tank reel. Some of it was pulled out of its groove and held against the next layer. Wherever this happened it left a spot undeveloped. I salvaged as much as I could by cropping. I'll have to experiment with the reel with some exposed film and try to find out what caused the trouble so it won't recur.
Here is a rundown of the roll by frames.
1. fogged
2. slightly cropped
3. & 4. ruined. (same subject as #2.)
5. & 6. o.k.
7,8,9,10. Ruined
11. Cropped-spot in upper left corner.
12. " " " left side
13/ " " directly above girl. Unused right side of frame is o.k.
14., 15. o.k.
16. Cropped - big spot on left.
17. " spot lower left.
18., 19. o.k. very thin negatives.
20, 21. O.K.
22. Slight fog at end of roll. Probalby [sic] from attaching film to spool while using reloader.I don't think the trouble in the developing tank was due to using reloaded cartridge. I developed a roll that I had respooled and had no trouble with it at all. IT
8's [sic] late so I must get this ready for mailing in the morning and get to bed. So long for now.Love,
Dad
