WednesdayDear Pat:
Heavy snowfall today. Glad it didn't happen two days ago. Just heard on the radio that the turnpike was closed between the Delaware river and Morgantown interchange due to heavy snow.
You have a reservation at the Picadilly for Dec. 19 and 20 for a twin bed room for two at the minimum of $10.00 per night (plus 5% tax, of course).
"Long Day's Journey" is taking a long week's vacation -- no perfs. from the 14th to the 24th. Your other first choices were sold out. Hope you're satisfied with 2nd, 3rd and 4th. You owe me eighteen dollars which I will deduct from your next check. I am enclosing the two you left on your desk at home [no longer with the letter], since you might need them on your trip home.
Didn't get any more prints made yet. I have had too many things to catch up on and I was plenty tired from the day in New York and driving home. Hung a new safelight tonight and expect to start printing again tomorrow night. Bought some print flattening solution. I now expect the prints to come off the dryer flat as my bank account.
The garageman says it will cost $98.00 to replace the rear bumper and tailpipe. Hope Mrs. Moore of Newton Center, Mass. has insurance.
See you soon,
Love,
DadP.S. Bought you a coiled flash cord so you can use the flash off the camera. You will find it gives much better results when you are photographing a group or a larger area such as a stage set to hold the gun high, at arm's length[.] Will send it with your laundry.
