Monday Aft.

Dear Pat:

Once again I'd like to tell you how much we enjoyed the show. In fact it was the topic of conversation all the way home. It sure was great and something to be remembered for a long time. Even grandma remarked that she didn't goo [sic] to sleep on it, like the one on Parents day last year. It sure moved along on a fast pace. And you did so well standing up there in front of all those people, I think I was more nervous thatn [sic] you were, as you never showed it if you were nervous, not even your voice. And you looked so nice in your brown dress and daddy and grandma thought your hair looked nice, I guess it takes me longer to get used to a new way, I just get settled on one way that you do your hair and then you change off to something new. What were your surprises on your bed I saw them but didn't want to spoil the surprise when you went up to your room. Did you thank don [sic] yet for his flowers, I think a nice note is in order. All in all everything was just GRAND and we all had a very nice time. Thanks so much.

Dad developed his pictures last night and I think they'll be alright and I took yours to the Photo Greetings today and get them tomorrow. I wouldn't trust dad with them, I hope they don't spoil them.

The Motel fouled us up Sat. night, when we got back here they had Grandma unit locked shut, so the three of us had to sleep on two twin beds. I selpt [sic] with dad the first half and grandma the second. We left for home about 8;30 and got home about 3;30. The car sure drives nice, it gives you a nice feeling that when you tramp the peddle down, it takes off and not maybe yes, maybe no, like the old car.

Kim was sure glad to see us and she seems to be okay again, Aunt Bertie says whe [sic] ate well, in fact she forced dad to give her her breakfast instead of vice versa, this morning. She usually waits for me to feed her, but the vitamins she's taking must have given her an appetite. Yesterday Aunt Bertie couldn't give her her pill, so last night I just handed it to her and you should have seen her trying to take it, she put it in her mouth and threw her head back, but she couldn't quite swallow it, so I gave it to her before she knew what was happedning. [sic] She's up with grandma today.

I did most of the wash last night and grandma is finishing it up tonight, so by the end of this week you should have your things again.

I'm quite busy today, doing two days work, so I'll make this short.

Take care of yourself and let me know how you survived Sat. night, you sure looked tired. I forgot to tell you that you'd gain an hour, [sic] Did you get up in time for church. Take care and we'll see you soon.

Thanks again for a lovely time,

Love,
Mother
