Wednesday afternoon
Dear Pat:
You are hereby formally informed of my exuberance at the acceptance of my humbly proposed invitation. And furthermore (continuing in a Micawber-like style) I'm glad you can come. It brings back pleasant memories of last year.
There has been a slight change in plans - you are staying at the home of Mrs. Kuni Brown, 57 High Street, and not at Mrs. Puffers (who lives too far - over 3 miles from the campus). Actually it is nicer in several ways - no ride problem, and you have a single now.
I'm not sure yet who is going to pick you up on Friday - will let you know. We are going out for dinner Friday to Van's (for steaks), with Jeff Webb, Chuck Davis, and their dates. Saturday evening is house party time; also "Senior Show" if you want to go. The only problem at the moment is how we are going to get to Holyoke Saturday morning (no bus until 12:30 P.M., and as yet no ride). This will work out in time though - I hope. If nothing else works we can hitchhike (don't worry; not seriously).
There shouldn't be any problem about the flowers this year: I've arranged to get them myself. By the way, in case you are interested, Ralph Marteri's (spelling?) band is playing at the prom - which lasts until 1 AM this year.
Almost forgot to mention that "Candida" is being presented here May
911th and 10th, starring Mrs. Denis Johnson. I thought you might be interested in seeing it - if so, let me know, for I have "connections" and can probably get good seats for either night. It should be an excellent production. All for now - will call you Thursday night or Friday morning about the ride.
Love,
Don
