Sunday Evening.
Dear Pat:
How's things going? still not doing any work. Did your watch get there yet. If not, something must have gone wrong. Let us know either way.
Received your wash Friday and it's all packed to go, which will be tomorrow. Dad packed it in two boxes, laundry and another carton. The carton will go special handling and the laundry regular. The carton also has some cake and candy in it, thus special handling. How's your weight holding out, if your [sic] gaining too much we'll have to stop the eats for awhile and this will probably be the last we send before you come home. You said something abount [sic] sending your dress home to be washed, but it wasn't in the case, did you send it or not.
I'm also enclosing three checks to take care of your last budget card. [no longer with the letter] Do you have enough money to come home, if not don't wait until the last minute to ask for it.
Dad mailed off all of your pictures. I guess you received them by this time. They came out better than the first roll, don't you think.
It looks like dad won't get to go along to Carolyn's wedding with me, he has to go to Harrisburg all day to take exams. He qualified for all four he asked about, so he'll be up there from 8 until. Be thinking about him sweating it out.
Rick's home for his spring vacation this week-end. When does Phil get his, I hear he's going South. We had Club at Jane's and I won first for the ladies. Bob's taking a one night a week course at Penn State Univ. in Algebra, he's sure sorry he didn't concentrate more on it when he was in school.
The week-ends are sure tough on Kim, she tried to hide in the cellar today to get a little rest. Dad's [sic] was working in the shower trying to put some tiles on again, so it was too noisy upstairs and no one would let her alone downstairs, so she went to the cellar.
Everyone is okay here and take care of yourself[.]
Love
Mother
