A Letter Written on Nov 21, 1954

Sunday

Dear Cousin,

Well it's about time I write to you. I got involved in a term-paper for psychology which is due tomorrow. I have been typing it with my one finger system for a week. So I have not had time to write letters or do any homework in any other subjects. I sure wish you could have been here last night when our dramatics group put on their fall play. It was "My Three Angels," by Sam and Bella Spewack. It was a fine play and I think it was quite well done. Our dramatic group is quite active and puts on plays all over the state. Their director is my speech prof. I have a feeling she doesn't appreciate me or my speech. You asked me how I was coming in Art. No comment. I didn't recieve [sic] any pink slips (the slips you get when you're failing a subject). They came out yesterday by the truck loads. There are certainly some sad people around today. I almost dropped dead last week when I found out that I got one of the highest marks in the Science mid-term. I won't tell you what I got on the other tests. Wow! Well, how are you doing? Are you still alive and kicking? I hope so! Well write when you can.

Love,
Ann
