A Letter Written on Dec 16, 1957

Monday Afternoon

Dear Pat:

Well I hope everything arrived that was sent to you. We haven't heard as yet, but I know you have been bury [sic] but hope you found time to write over the week-end. We're anxious to know how the play went. Sorry we couldn't be there.

Dad has mailed all of your prints and I hope you receive them before coming home and are able to deliver and get the money for them.

Do you know they have a transportation strike on N. Y., which is holding up the subway service very much. Don't depend on the subway for transportation, you better use a taxi if necessary. You might be able to get a ride from one station to the other though. If I'd be you I'd check my suitcase straight thru and just carry a hand bag and live out of it for the next two days. You will have to pay for your hotel bill, which is to be $10. a day for both or $10. each. I hope you will have enough money. Don't forget to collect for the tickets also.

You better check anything you want to send home, or your suitcase in case you decide to take it with you, Saturday monring [sic], as you will no doubt have to check out of the hotel before going to the show. and you won't have much time to do it after the show, so do it in the morning if you are going to have anything coming thru. And you better wait until you get home to do your Chritmas [sic] shopping unless you get real small things.

You better call Sat. night from N. Yl [sic] and let us know what time your [sic] leaving N. Y. We'll be going to club between 7;30 and 7/45. We're starting early because we'll have to leave early to pick you up.

Have fun in N. Y. and take care of yourself. You better be prepared for rain and snow and have your boots with you. Wear your red coat.

Love,
