A Letter Written on Jan 4, 1955

Dear Patricia:

I'm afraid you have the wrong impression of the Thespian Society; at least Troupe 520. [?] We had talked to Dave about reviewing our plays long before, we had ask[ed] him to speak to us - any way, he was put on night work at the last minute, and he won't be with us - Dr. Dawes of Y.J.C. is taking his place, - H. A - so watch how you talk about us or I'll get M. H after you!

She recieved [sic] your big envelope, because I saw it on the desk. Just in case you don't know. Janie and I even believe Joan is home - where are you? - Don't you have semester break?

If you get home the 24th I think you will get to see "Uncle Harry." - By the way "Strange Bedfellows" is going to be the last play. Did you hear - the Legion is doing "Oklahoma" - that is going to be a big farce.

Geo. Gerleick's [?] plays went quite well the other night - we had a wonderful discussion & audience.

Gardner is trying a real experimental. He dramatised the "Ballad of Reading Gaol" (Oscar Wilde) - and although it's Gardner - I think it is going to be terrific.

I was talking to different people about the Elmwood. - It seems I had the same idea you had - but they think it is useless - (why don't we find a barn some where?) under this new setup they have at the Elmwood - It would hardly be profitable to anyone to put on stage shows. It takes quite awhile to explain and is complicated as hell so I won't try too. [sic] -

Be see'n you -

Love,
Fat head
