A Letter Written on Oct 26, 1954

Dartmouth

Tuesday - October 26

Dear Pat -

No excuse for delaying the epistle til now - especially since two hour exams are coming up tomorrow. As you have already surmised so succintly [sic] I was in the wrong temperate status to negotiate the Holyoke pilgrimage on that fateful Sunday. I spent the last week writing apologies to my date, etc., etc. .... ad infinatum. [sic] Since I didn't offend you til Sunday, you can imagine where you were on the list. Very, very sorry.

The last two weekends, plus the coming one, have been spent right here at dear, old Dartmouth. Certain scholastic difficulties such as the advisability of passing a few courses have presented themselves. The two hour exams tomorrow - for which I haven't even done enough work to be ill prepared - should increase this problem's propensity.

Therefore I must cut this weak amend short.

Love,
Rod
