Monday. Afternoon
Dear Patty:
Well time is growing short. I guess you're all house cleaned and suitcase packed and ready to leave. We're just as anxious to see you.
We looked for a letter today with more details but maybe it will come tomorrow I hope you decided to go by train as the taxi idea doesn't sound too good. Too dangerous and then it sounds like it must be an old jitney which is liable to break down half way there. Also in Penna. there's a law about carrying that many in one cab, no doubt there's a law there too. Quite a schedule you're working out. If we don't hear anything else more definite I guess your best bet will be to call us when you arrive in Lancaster, and we'll hustle right over. If we're there you'll see us, if we have a definite time, if you don't see us call. Are you completely confused at this point? In other words if you don't see us, call.
I'll pick up the things you wanted at the A & P.
We had club Sat. night at home so it was late before we got to bed. Yesterday daddy had to make a call in Hanover so Grandma and I went along, we had dinner at the Hotel and after that we went to Westminster and spent about 2 1/2 hrs. with Lurtie and Sellman. We then came home and I set Grandma's and my hair.
Do be careful in coming home as everybody will be in a great hurry. If you have to get a ticket in N.Y. don't wait until you're ready to leave, get it right away as the windows will be very busy.
Grandma is making your bag and will have some cookies to take along back. It was so warm here this past week and now it is turning colder. I hope it doesn't snow.
Well I must get to work, See you Wednesday and do be very careful.
Love
Mother. The last mail we got from you was your post-card. Hurrah for the 2 in your physics note book.
