Monday

Dear Pat:

How's the lessons doing? I know the plays are doing alright, but what about the lessons. I'd like to see all 2 this semester.

Nothing exciting happened last week, it just passed by, with me working as hard as ever. Grandma has been a big help the last several weeks, as she's been doing my house work. Kim enjoys her coming down and Grandma even plays with her out by noon, so that she sleeps all afternoon. By the way she spent Sat. afternoon and sat. [sic] night with Grandma. But she sure hates to be taken out from one place to the other, it's getting so that when she sees you putting on your coat, she high tails it off and hides, which is very provoking, that [sic] how she got to spend the night at grandma's. She enjoys it up there, as she can look out the windows more and Grandma likes to have her.

Grandmas [sic] got finished her alergy [sic] tests last week adn the doctor found out that she was very allegeric [sic] to horse hairs, so Grandmas can't go riding any more. Also allergic to mattress hair, so I guess she's not supposed to sleep any more, either.

I went to club Wednesday night, went to the A&P Thurs. night, also the shopping center, which was quite busy. Friday night we went out to the market and Saturday night went to club at the Deitz's[.] What an exciting week. Yesterday we went down to a flower shop opening in Dallastown. I worked on Christmas balls last night and made three dozens [sic], which makes six doz. so far. Anna has another order for me of about 5doz. We might sell around 14 doz in all. That is taking up my time so that I can't spend as much on ceramics as I'd like to. I don't know if I'll get the Manger set finished or not for Xmas. I did my first glaze firing last night and I'm sure anxious to open the kiln and see how things look. It got finished sooner than I expected and the cone had turn[ed] over before I noticed exactly when. So I turned it off at the same degree that I was doing my bisque at.

You better send a list of small stuff you want for xmas, or other things. Did you find out about your ring yet, whether you can get it or not.

Don't forget to do your xmas cards and don't bring them along home with you.

It sure is a lovely day here, nice and mellow in the sun.

Everyone is okay and Kim sends her love, she's been sleeping on your bed.

Take care of yourself and get enough sleep.

Love,
Mother
