A Letter Written on Feb 19, 1958

YORK, PENNA.

Wednesday morning

Dear Patty

I did not get to write yesterday so I sit down a [sic] write to day such english all [sic] well you understand. Well we had our first bad snow of the year Sat. & Sun. very deep all around guess you had some of it too. Very deep and it drifted so their [sic] was a little bit more some time last night but did not mount to much which I was glad of. Very nice marks you made I am very proud of you Patty, but dont [sic] work to[o] hard take care of you[r] health that comes first these days am glad the play is going good too. I made a cake on Monday was off so Mother sent it to you hope you got it by this time. Write and tell me what you want me to make you, for I dont [sic] know which is the best to make and send, this time of year. My boss['s] wife is in hospital, and I have been working some extry [sic] time, which I should not do I get to[o] much time I am afraid. He want[s] mother to work three saturday [sic] before Easter and she said know [sic] which is right she does enough she should have more time off. What do you want for your birthday write and tell me. It [is] coming up soon.

Well I dont [sic] know what else to write you[.] So I guess I close and say good-by and May God bless you always
