A Letter Written on Dec 3, 1957

Tuesday Noon

Dear Pat:

Just a short note to let you know we made it home okay. My it was a pleasure to come down to N. Y., we made it in about 2 1/2 hours. Traffic moved along nicely the whole way.

Grandma got her coat and I got a skirt and dress. Grandma also got a blouse and several other things. and I the same.

Dad picked up some things at Willoughly. [sic - Willoughby] He went up to check up on your camera and it's a good thing he did. The guy had a hard time finding it and took him about 1/2 hour. They had it one [sic] a special shelf waiting until they received the money for the repairs before they were going to mail it. They lost the request about billing it. So they should have got the camera off yesterday to you or today. So look for it in several days time. Daddy said they must have a set up something like Grove and the Optomitist. [sic]

Also if you don't get your prescription with your sun glasses let me know and I'll call them about it.

It's too bad Ollie wasn't there the first three years. Just about the right age. Well maybe it isn't too late as yet. He seemed like a pretty nice person. Don't let the car influence you though.

Kim was glad to see us, I brought her a catnip toy along and she had a wonderful time playing with it.

See you soon, love,
Mother
