Dear Pat:

Just a few lines to let you know that your sweaters are missing in your laundry case. Grandma forgot to give them to me and I didn't realize that they weren't in. I filled the case up with other things, so we'll have to send the sweaters separately. The jerseys were dollar day bargains. I kept two of them at home since they look more springish and will send them later. Know anybody that would like to have a size 40 white orlon sweater. The dumb jerk at the Bon Ton told me they ran a little small, so I got the next size and it's too wide across the shoulders. It's very nice and it was 5.98 and I got it for $3.00. I hope yours fit okay. I got all medium sizes.

Cut your large size cakes of soap in half with a string or wire and use only one half at a time. I also sent some smaller ones in your box. Dad gave me the dickens for sending you so many cigarettes, so take it easy and use only 1 a day.

How did you make out with Larry about the job, [sic] Not wishing you any bad luck but I hope he turns you down, as I'd like to have you at home again this summer, it was very nice last summer as we get to see so little of you.

Dad sent your checks right away, so I guess you have received them by now. Don't forget to get your polio shots at school.

Everyone okay here, Kim says hello, she laid in your laundry case on top of your clothes and smelled them all over, I think she remembered you. She's growing but not filling out too much.

Be good, Love
Mother
