A Letter Written on Dec 12, 1957

Thurs. Aft.

Dear Pat:

Hi, I guess you're already for Fri and Sat. The best of luck. I've been wanting to write to you all week and I've been very busy too. I hope you have your dress and laundry case by this time. We got your letter yesterday with program and lists in. You mentioned you got your glasses and sent along the bill for the camera. Did you get that yest. [sic] Dad mailed a check for it last night. They were going to mail it right away when we were in N. Y. and if they did you should have it by now. Dad also paid for your glasses. How do they do?

Ive [sic] been working on Ceramics and copper all this week trying to get daddy gifts ready for the office.

If you don't like the dress don't wear it and you can have it exchanged. What else do you want for Christmas. You'll have to get Ricky something for christmas. [sic] If you see something in N. Y. you like okay get it, but don't get records or something you can get at home, because that will be just something more for you to carry. Spend about $4.

I guess you're terribly busy this week, but let us have a letter telling us about how things went with the play, etc. We're very sorry we can't make it at this time, but the weather is very uncertain. It's terribly cold here today. Last night Kim was in and out about 1 doz. times, she's only stay out about 10 mins. then climb the screen door to come in. That's how she asks to come in, doesn't meow like other cats, just play the harp on the screen door.

I'm sending you 50 stamps [no longer with the letter] which you can use for your christmas [sic] cards. Don't forget to mail them next week.

Dad has just about all your pictures finished, he was waiting for the reprints that he had to make. and I think he'll finish today, as he took the afternoon off, so I imagine he'll work inthe [sic] dark room.

Well I must get back to work. Lots and lots of luck and tak e [sic] care of yourself. How as last week-end, I was sort of worried because of the driving, please be careful, when the weather [is] bad, in fact all the time.

Love,
Mother
