A Letter Written on Apr 5, 1957

Friday

Dear Pat:

Nothing much happened since I wrote you last, but I did forget to remind you to "Accept your Scholarship" That is due very soon and if you haven't already you better sit down and write a letter right away while it's fresh in your mind.

Dad tried out the new enlarger last night and was a little disturbed because he lies [sic] to use a box to lift up the enlarger plate for a 3 x 5 picture. With it down flat, some of the picture is cut off. I didn't see the pictures yet to see if they're done any better or not. He almost had a fit that he couldn't use it before. I finally went to bed last night at 9:30 and had a nice long night's sleep. Are you rested as yet. Wednesday night I played cards and such cards rotten all evening. We saw Carolyn's wedding pictures and they were all very nice. Last night we went to the stores.

Dad mailed your box yesterday I don't know if you'll get it for Sat. or not.

By the way you left your pin [?] at home and I forgot to mail it. I'll mail it off as soon as I can.

Everyone'[s] okay here and hope you are the same.

It's been raining very hard here all day and I hear you have snow up there. It snowed different places around us but missed us.

Take care of yourself.

love,
Mother
