A Letter Written on Mar 3, 1956

Dear Pat,

Dig the fancy stationary! [sic] Yes, dear, I'm in New York again - seeing my mother and brother (who says "hi!"), after just getting out of the infirmary. I hadn't gotten any sleep to speak of for three days, and my cold was getting unbearable, so spent one day recuperating.

But now the tests are over, and you will be neglected no longer. By the way, I'm still planning to come over on Tuesday (March 6) to see "Volpone" - that is, if I can get a "sub" for Valentine. If not, I will arrive late (8:30) but in time to see most of it.

My mother and Bobbie (Mrs. Johnson who runs our Grand Marcus "gift shoppe") have spent several days doing their buying, and have also found time to see "Desk Set", "Fanny", and "Pipe Dream" - lucky gals. The four of us went to dinner tonight, and ended up spending the whole evening at this place called "Asti's" (I've sent you a card describing it, and you can read more in this month's issue of Coronet Magazine).

All for now, dear - time for bed! Thinking of you often (even if I haven't written, due to hour tests, papers, and cold). Will see you Tuesday night -

Love & xxxx
Don

P.S. "Hi" to Judy, too. Tell her to be good (to you) - D.F.J.
