A Letter Written on Nov 13, 1957

Wednesday morning
Nov. 13, 1957

Dear Patty:

Well I guess you are kept very busy these days, not any time to play. How are things going good or bad. I hope good. Well Mother sent you a box Tuesday you might [not] have it till you get this letter[.] The cake would not bake well something [was] wrong with my oven I guess[.] Guess I have to see about it. Well it [is] getting colder hear [sic] we had a big white frost hear [sic] this morning. I am glad I dont [sic] have to go out so early, dont [sic] go till noon then it warms up a little. Well your Dad will have a surprise for you when you get home he has been working very hard, you know how he is every think [sic] must be just so. Just like you and mother[.] Well I guess that [is] the way it should be.

Well the leaves are about all down know [sic] and such a lot of them[.] Well my neighbor is go[ing] to leave I hear the Tufarholes I mean next door they are going to open a resturant [sic] in the West end I was told. It did not come from then. [sic]

Kim certainly loves to be out in the cold eve. she stay[s]out to 11. oclock [sic] some nights. When I go down she come[s] in to see me and then she wants to go right out again. Well I guess this is all for this time[.] So I say good by and May God bless you.
