A Letter Written on Dec 13, 1956

Sometime Thursday A.M.

Dear Kitten,

This will just be a little note to let you know I'm still alive. Our half-decent weather is still holding out and we've had very little snow. I hope the roads are clear when we migrate home the 19th.

I had a letter from Jim explaining why he didn't come home that last Saturday night. It seems some of his dear friends from New York just happened to drop in. Oh well! it sounds good.

Our little jaunt to hear the Pittsburgh symphony was quite a success. Of course I had a test at 8 the next morning and we didn't get back till after 3, but who needs sleep anyway.

I can't wait to get home to do my Christmas shopping. It seems I'm developing what is know[n] as - "The Christmas Spirit." Strange for bitter little old me, but true.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Love,
Phil

Most of the boys of the dorm are sitting here now and they all say hello.
