Dear Patty:
Will write a line or so to you hope you are feeling alright. Mr Sivers to Bertie yesterday eve you where [sic] sick in bed & so was Phil[.] But I hope you are alright when you get a cold & soar [sic] throat you should go right away and get something befor[e] you get on you[r] back. I am coiming along alright. But dont [sic] have the stiches [sic] out yet but hope it get then [sic] out by Saturday afternoon I have lots of flowers and lots of company wish you could enjoy some of the flowers[.] If you keep your feet dry & warm I dont [sic] think you would take sore throat if you need shoes why get a pair that you[r] feet are covered.
Dont [sic] know if I can make any more cakes or cake for you before you get home or not we have to wait a[nd] see. I got a very nice letter from Judy will write to her later. (to-day) It was not very pretty to-day dont [sic] know if it [is] getting ready to do something or not. But we will have to take what comes[.] Well I guess I will have to close for I want to send some thank yous card [sic] to some folks[.] So I say goodby and may God bless you
