Friday Afternoon
How's the cold coming, all gone as yet. Watch out for these nice spring days, don't dress too lightly, they're just weather breeders.
Daddy received a letter from the college the other day asking for donations, as an annual gift. Also a copy of the school paper, I didn't get time to look thru it as yet.
We were over to Nichol's Wednesday night. The kids are sure growing up. Last night we went to see Battle Cry. and the A&P. The picture was very good, only a little long.
I got the baby plate back that I made for Mary Ellen and it looks very nice, I guess we'll go see her and the baby some time this week-end.
Herbert's Dept. store is going out of business and I bought some material for a skirt at reduced prices, or so they say.
Things are beginning to perk up aroung [sic] here, getting ready for Easter, the stores are busier.
The Gazette finally got up enough nerve to ask Gloria to quit, although it will cost them several thousand to get rid of her, as sererance [sic] pay. They should have done it several years ago. Upstairs is changing all around, there's a lot of new faces.
How could you be so dumb and get a three in your Math Blue book, I thought that was your best subject. If you don't watch out you won't even get a 2 in that this semester. You must try to hurry too much and get bawled up, so take your time and try to think things out better.
How are your little demons doing in their play and when do you give it. How is theplay [sic] you're in coming along, did they miss you at rehearsals.
I guess I'll clean tonight. Rhoades have club tomorrow night.
Everyone is okay here. How about yourself. We're getting anxious to see you. This has been a long stretch hasn't it.
We got a confirmation of your hotel in New York, did you? It will cost $4. a piece. We also got a confirmation from Holyoke.
See you soon, Love
Mother
