Dear Patty,
As I did not get to write to you yesterday as we went up to see the man that you want to work for, but your mother & Dad did not get to see him. So then we came home and your mother gave me a permenent [sic] wave and did not get home till nearly eleven o'clock. I made you some sugar cakes tonight I hope you will like then. [sic] I have a new receipt how to make them.
Well mother told me she wrote to you too today So I guess you get them both about the same time. I[s] still a little cool hear. [sic] But I guess it will warm up soon. I guess it will be the same up their. [sic]
I was off sick one day last week I ate something, but all right now. I hope you had a nice Easter I did not get to church. I hope you did[.] I did not go yesterday either But hope I may go next Sunday. Well it [is] getting late So I guess I will say good Bye and may God bless you
