Monday Afternoon
Dear Pat,
How's things going by this time? Did you have your day off as yet to go in the country. The past week-end was very pretty and nice around here. We finally found Harold's place yesterday as we were driving around. He has an old stone house about 127 yrs. old. It's very nice and he has almost anything imaginable planted there.
I got your drapery material last week but havn't [sic] started to make them as yet. You didn't say whether they were to be traverse drapes or just drapes as in the den. I'll probably make the latter unless I hear from you right away.
We were busy again last week. Monday night I went to Women's Club, Tues. I stayed home instead of going to Ladies Aid. Wed. went to Dr's for check-up. Thurs. night had bridge club at Catharine's. Friday night we ate at Roosevelt Garage and the A&P and Saturday night we had club at home. I went to Sunday School but didn't stay for church. This week will be just as busy, everything is starting up at once. I expect to go to Ceramics tonight.
How's the Polio situation by this time. Have you heard from your friend at Amherst as yet.
Don't forget to let me know immediately if the drapes are to be travers [sic] curtains. Are you using any other curtains.
Everyone is okay here and take good care of yourself. I'm getting pretty busy will write more later.
Love
Mother
