Dear Pat,

I know that you are about ready to shoot me by now, but let me give my plea first. I have been positively snowed under with exams, banquets, & other activities since I saw you last. Now, Commencement comes next week, & you know what a mad rush it is to get ready for that. Tonight is my first night of no homework to start the summer. I handed in my last book today.

Our Farewell Assembly is tomorrow & Friday, and Commencement is June 1, 2, & 3 I'm sorry that you will miss it. I called your Mother tonight to find out when you will be home.

I am mailing you the three papers that I owe you under separate cover.

I was accepted at Goucher College, so that is where I will be heading next Sept. I was also accepted at Hood, Wilson, & put on the waiting list at Duke. However, Goucher was my first choice.

Call me when you get home, and we can get together for some tennis lessons. I was hoping that you could teach me this summer. See you soon.

Love,
Jane
