Tuesday Afternoon
Dear Patty:
How's things going, down to earth yet? Dad received your order Saturday. and has everything finished except the English film, which is of course the largest amount. The large film has been sent and I'll try and get the other pictures off
yoto you tonight. I don't know when Dad will get a chance to do the other printing, he developed a nasty, drippy head cold and had to sleep down stairs last night. Kim was torn between loyalty, first she was up and then down. She didn't want to show any preference. She has been sleeping on my bed. She's become a little stinker, when she knows we want to take her out from one house to the other, she goes and hides. When's she home [sic] she don't want to go up to Grandma and vice versa. She's still pretty frightened when she goes out and you have to hold her very tight.I won first Sat. night for a change. Sunday I got my kiln ready to fire and tonight I think I'll put a test run in. I also took Grandma Feiser out to see Aunt Mable won's been in the Hospital. She had a band in the bowle [sic] and had it removed. She should be coming home this week, if all goes well, she was to come home last monday [sic] and she began running a fever and had to stay on. I also ran into Mary Eliz. Schwartz out there with her foot in
caa cast. It so happens that Ruth is in the Hospital, having had an operation on her ankle. They said the dog also had his hind foot in a cast. It looks like Ed is the only good one left. They called the Ladies Aid Bazaar off because Kitty couldn't continue with her part of the program, but they are still making Christmas balls, so you can practise [sic] writing names on balls.
Business has been pretty slow lately, I'm finished for the day and it's only 1:30. I could be using this time at home doing some work on my ceramics.
Dad said if the weather is nice we might take you back Thanksgiving.
We had ceramic class last night and I got a nice big piece to do again, a surprise for you.
Everyone is okay here. Tanke [sic] good care of yourself and we'll see you next week.
Love,
Mother
