A Letter Written on Apr 15, 1956

Sunday

Dear Pat,

The mounts finally arrived so I amsending [sic] your slides today. The Hobby Show was a financial flop but an artistic success. I won second prize and I wasn't even playing. I put ina [sic] mock-up of an enlarger along with the easel and three trays and a descrption [sic] of how everything works. It was just to fill up space because they weren't expecting many hobbies the way the entries were coming in. There was a last minute rush, tho, and they filled all the space.

I am sending some checks along. The filters still didn't arrive from Buyers Coop. They're holding me up too because I need the screw-in adapter. I can't try out my new close-up lenses until the adapter comes. Soon as the stuff arrives I'll send your filters by 1st class mail. If you haven't sent your Ektachrome film off for processing yet, you may want to send it to Pavelle, instead of Baltimore. I am enclosing envelope and price list. [no longer with the letter] I understand they are putting in equipment to process Kodachrome, too, but until they announce that service you'd better leave the Kodachrome film at your local dealer.

Fill out the enclosed card to register your camera with Argus.

I am sending in the Parents' Day registration today. I suppose we'll stay at the Hartfor[d] Motel both Friday and Saturday nights. See you soon.

Love,
Dad
