A Letter Written on Oct 24, 1954

Sunday eve.

Dear Patty

Will write you a few lines. I am glad to hear you go to church. I was their [sic] this morning. And so was mother she was at Sunday school too & church but I was only at church. It certainly was a lovely day. Bertie & I went over to Fishers for dinner we had fried oysters and a french fried potatoes and tomatoes they wher [sic] very good, and then we walked from their [sic] to the square and window shop[ped] and to the Bus and came home. I did not make any cakes to-day I don't know what kind to make you. I got some dry beef to send to you and some candy[.] Write and tell me what kind you want me to make and I will make then[.]

I like my work all right. But when I get home don't have very much time to do so much. I am kept very busy at work and they have very pretty clothes & so on. but are high in price too. But I like the work.

Mother & Dad where [sic] out to Janes for dinner. Glad to hear you are getting along better in studies. Well I guess I have told you all so I get ready and go to bed for this time.
