Dear Susie Q,
To set a good example, this letter is written 2 hours 6 minutes 34 seconds after yours was open. And it should be mailed tommorow. [sic]
What a day today was! Not only was I late for school twice, but you sent a 342 word letter.
TodaThis morning I couldn't get the car started which the homeroom teacher does not believe because I use the excuse every day. Then at lunch, Al couldn't start his car. We even tried to crank it! The attendence [sic] officer did not believe us even though we haven't been late in 2 weeks.Where were you the 21 of February 1960 AD? What other Sun. was there, Baby?
You are a wise guy asking What Sunday! Any more cracks like that and I will take drastic steps. So there! I didn't cut the bottom of the stationery either, it comes like that. You don't have to fold it to put the letter in an envelop. [sic] Satisfied nosey. (I know, its [sic] natural female curiosity.)
How many more days before the Easter vacation? Passover starts April 12 so it can't be to [sic] long.
Antioch was the only school I applied to so far, but the joker from Union gave me an interview. What a shm , I ended up listening to how great a basketball player he was. Are you even thinking about the college you might go to?
I got your Valentine you LITTLE cutie, it was to quote you, "just like you."
Just think, in so few days the streets of Schenectady will have to be cleared while you learn to drive! Really though I'm sure you'll have no trouble. HA! HA!
Tonight we have our first round of the basketball tournament, I have to hurry up and finish so I can mail the letter on the way. I hope Al was Kidding when he said he hurt his hand while he was cranking. He is the star of our team on offence, averaging 27 points. How is your team doing? Still winning?
What else can I say? Oh, Friday nite after the game and the victory dance we went to a tavern, about 50 or so. At three some one yelled the police were outside ready to raid. Ofcourse [sic] no one belived [sic] him, but when we saw the red lights on the police car flashing 50 kids went through the back door in 5 seconds. Neil, one of the last ones out brought his drink, glass and all with him. The next night for some strange reason, they were asking for proof of age.
Love,
AndrewThey are just beginning to cast our Broadway play this week!
