Dashest Sue Ellen or
Dear Sue Ellen,Reddingboot verzameplaats passagiers in deze hut worden verzocht zich op de hoogle. That is Danish for how the hell areyou? [sic] [Translation is actually: Lifeboat cargo area passengers in this cabin are requested on the hoogle (last word assumed spelled wrong, and not translatable as a result)]
The boat trip was wonderful. Beer 10¢ a glass, cigarettees [sic] 15¢ a pack. Two bands at night a swimming pool in and outside and I just remembered something. XX During the trip back to Troy last time from your house, the restaurant was open! That got me angry. Luckily being the son of a psychologist the situation was anlyzed [sic] and relization [sic] of why you did not want to go there was made. Humfph!
Then we landed in the port of Le Havre. What wasn't seen on the beaches of Le Havre. The Bikinis were scarcely seen. Or should it be put that they were barely seen. Oh, they do not worry about cabanas there either. They change right on the beach. The women put their skirts on over the wet bathing suits then they wiggle a little bit and out the bottom comes the bathing suit.
At Paris we bought a car, and ofcourse [sic] did the usual for the tourist.well [sic] we visited the sewers and they stunk. Went to the top of the Eiffel Tower again, you know. But at the Comodie Francais it was most interesting when between the acts, the bar opened up.
Then baby, we moved North baby. Yes baby North baby. Up through the great country of Belgium with all its momuments [sic] and scars of Hitler's brutality. (Even more than France xxx) (Reffering [sic] to momuments [sic]) Well at least the same amount as France. I retract the above statement ["Even more than France"] after careful consideration. The rows and rows of graves in the Amer. cemetary [sic], buried on the fields where they fell infuriated us.
In Holland, baby we visited one of the aunts and uncles of a girl in my school who was spending the summer with them. Understand? The time spent with them was very enjoyable. They lived as Catholics during
thisHitler's period. They were aided by people who did not know them but aided because, the wife ofthisthe family that helped had a dream in which she had a vision. She was sick and in order to live, Mary said she must do a good deed. So she helped these people. Isn't that fantastic XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX censored.I send this letter by Luftpost from Danmark. [sic] If you wish to write (you better) send letter to american Express in Stockholm Sweden.
Love,
Andrew
