Dear Miss Friedman,
I received your letter today & am happy to report that the decal has been placed in the rear window on the passenger's side in the 1960 Ford. Thanks for writing. I enjoyed both your letter to me & the one to Mom & Dad. You can't imagine how happy mother was to read that you were enjoying yourself. She's been worrying all week for fear that you wouldn't enjoy it.
I find it rather lonesome around here without you especially in the morning and at dinner time. I have borrowed your phone & it is on my bed. I must admit that the turquoise does not go with my green walls.
School isn't too bad any more. The teachers have let up a little on homework. Tuesday I got back the Eng. paper on my
firstimpressionistic reading. Received a 92. Today I got back the history test we took Tues. Got a 94! I think it was the best mark in the class. Larry Levine also received a 94. Mary Lou had 84 & others did just as poorly. Miss Saulsberry read one of my answers to the class saying it wasthoroughthorough & well written. We have a paper due next Friday. Mine is on the Puerto Rican problem in the U.S.I'm going to the Key Club district workshop on Oct. 5,6 & 7th in Abany. [sic] Mr. Francis is going & he will drive. At the meeting last week I was
made byvoted junior representative to the executive committee.Today we had another "pep" assembly. This one was by far the worse one we've had while I've been at N.H.S. There was no spirit & the whole thing was a big drag. I'm sure that the spirit will be before at the game. It couldn't be worse!
At S. Council we decided to have a bonfire before the B.C. game on Oct. 26th. We also decided to sell small flags with an Austrian flag for 50¢ instead of the share buttons.
I'm going to the dance tomorrow with Kathy Matrazzo. We've been hanging around together lately. Need I say more!!
Tomorrow morning Dave Bundy, Les, Bill Swartz, & Pete Usher are all going down to the library. Les has a paper due for Jim & the rest of us for Ruth. Pete's new this year. He went to Linton last year. He isn't a bad
atheleteathlete. That's about it for now. I'll write you again next weekend if you don't come home. Say hello to your roomate. [sic] The picture in the book of her isn't too bad. Most of the girls are good looking but they're no better looking than you. Take care of yourself and I'll see you soon.
Love
LarryP.S. Please excuse the poor English because I'm not too bright since I lost my private tutor.
P.P.S. Say hello to Mary Lyons for me.
