Dear Sue Ellen,
Hi! I got your Christmas Card while I was home & was so glad to hear from you. I meant to drop you a note earlier but I've been taking finals & studying ever since I got back here after vacation. I had my last one today & am so relieved - to say the least!
As far as next year goes, Heave[n] only knows. I get panicked every time I think about it. I'd like to get a job as a computer programmer and would like to be with GE in Sch'dy or IBM in or around N.Y.C. If I stayed in Sch'dy I'd have a problem finding a room-mate. In N.Y.C. I'd have the same problem but I don't think it would be as hard there to find one. But, as you say, the future is a big question mark!
At any rate I'm quite sure that I'll be at the lake again this coming summer. I think my parents would very much like it that way.
Last summer I started dating Steve Broderick again & have seen him once or twice since then. David knows all about it & it's just something which will have to be worked out!
How's your love life?
Well, 'Swellie', I hope that you write to me if you ever get the chance. Maybe we can get together sometime this summer or sometime[.]
Have a good semester!
Love,
Carol [Delfs][According to the corner card, Carol lived in a sorority house on Elm St in Canton, NY, which means she was a student at St. Lawrence University. It sounds like she's someone Sue Ellen knew from high school.]
