68 TalstrasseMy dearest Miss Turner!
At first welcome home again! I hope you found everything all right and I am sure all your pupils are happy to have you again and I am glad to hear, that you will think back on your Europaen [sic] time with pleasure. We are missing you and I have the feelings that you are belonging to our summers my dear Miss Turner. You were so full of interest for my husbands works, so he was quite satisfied and I hope you will like his books, which I sent per post on the 19 Sept under the address: Librarian H. College etc. In the first Lieferung [German for "delivery"] my husband put the disciption [sic] of the glas[s] pieces. It is a paperpanse [?], so that one can well understand it and everything else about it is written in those three books. My husband is writing very fast on the record part and I hope it will come out beginn[ing] of the next year.
The glass pictures we sent on the 11 September per Post to M. Holyoke C. It was much easier so, as they were not to[o] heavy. The paper you wanted, signed by my husband is inside and as I have versichert the box I hope it will arrive quite safely and give the same pleasure to the H. College, as it did to you. As it is permet [sic] now again to have a much bigger sum of divisen, [?] may I ask you, dear Miss Turner to beg also Miss G. Hyde to send the Dollar notes so, as we asked you to do.
Maja and her husband have been in a little place near Lyezia in Italy. Sun, sky, sea and sands have done them both very good. Maja is stronger and must stay there an other month. The sugar is still the same I am sorry to say but I do'nt give up the hope, that she will get well again the poor dear. Sattivalt came back two days ago, brown and well looking and I had also a short visit of my daughter and son in law Prof Külm. It was a pity, you did not know him. They have called him to America for next year, also to Lissabon, but I do'nt know if he can go. He would like to very much.
We have just lovely autumn days with beautiful colours arround. [sic]
I hope it will be good time for you my dear Miss Turner. We are all sending you our heartiest greetings and do'nt forget that you have got friends in Europe who often think of you with pleasure. I should be so glad to hear some times from you.
Affectionately yours
Maja Geiges
