My dear Miss Turner,

So very many thanks for your letter from Granna and for the photo and note with it - likeness quite good it seems to me. I wish mine of you had been as successful! Did you, I wonder, feel how much I really wanted to come to your steamer to say "goodbye" and how much I regretted not to have done so? If I ever come to U.S.A. again I certainly will let you know in case we then could meet again. In the meantime I should very much like to have your photo in case you have got one and send you one of me I had taken after my return this summer. I am so glad you did the Granna and Canaltour - You saw a very typical bit of our country that way - only, the folks who go the tour this time of the year are to a great extent foreigners. When this reaches you you will be back in your work and your, like mine, tour will be just a memory. Mine is surely a most pleasant one and it has made life fuller and richer to have met so many kind, interesting, capable human beings several that I dare look upon as friends. If you allow me I like to think of you as belonging to the last categori [sic] and I have a feeling that you will not mind!. [sic]

If you come back to Sweden I hope you will let me know. Please remember me kindly to Miss O-Hara!

Very sincerely yours
Gertrud af Klintberg
