Dear Aunt Abby,-

Greetings to you from this wonderful land! We are having a most glorious trip under most ideal conditions - Yes even in war times for our guide and director is my fiancé Carl Gulliver and the rest of us are Carl's brother and one of the girls I took out last fall. We have had 2 weeks & done the Great & Little Scheidegg - & The Gemmi Passes & many other nice things. It is a wonderful life - but alas soon we must break up. Most of the colony of Consple. is here & I shall stay on this summer. We can decide nothing at present but shall be married in the fall, if possible. Carl may go into France. Carl is splendid and I know you will approve of him for everyone admires & loves him over here, that is all of my friends. I left LBW at her post & hope to hear of her when the Elkus family arrive Sunday.

With best wishes and much love,
Mary B. L
