Dear Dr. Turner,

How nice of you to send us such a delightful spring greeting. We all thought the bucket so charming looking and now it is emptied we have placed it as cachepot for one of the green plants in the office. I am sure you can imagine that we all enjoyed the sweets although I will confess that the first pieces did seem a little too sweet for Danish palates, but soon the bucket was emptied with great appetite. Now we all want to thank you very much for so kindly thinking of us here in the laboratory.

From myself I want to thank you for your kind letter which I enjoyed very much. I am sure you have given a very lively account of your stay here in Denmark and our funny ways here. Next sunday [sic] we are supposed to go to Boserup like last year. Can you remember what a glorious day we had? Your photos were excellent from that trip. This time it will be more or less a German one - Frau Jacobs has just arrived for a 3 weeks visit just in time for the Boserup trip.

Last week the former president for the Rockefeller Foundation, Dr. Vincent, was here in Copenhagen for a few days. He gave a very splendid lecture at the University Festival Hall; the whole laboratory went to hear him.

Dr. Niels Aage Nielsen (at Professor Henriques' laboratory) became Doctor of Medicine last week. He is now going to the Rigshospital as Reservelaege where he also gets a little flat.

Kandidat Blem (Dr. Rehberg's assistant) is a proud father now.

Kvinderegensen has been taken in use now and looks very nice indeed; the real inauguration will first be held in May.

Professor Krogh was very pleased that you and Dr. Landis were able to make up the number of reprints which we received some weeks ago.

Will you be coming over this summer we wonder, or do you have to give up going to the Congress? We hope to see you if you do come over.

At last thank you again very much and best regards to you from us all,

yours very sincerely
Gerda Begtrup-Hansen

Best greetings
Rehberg.

Many thanks for both the "sweets" and the christmas card
